The African Maritime Security Initiative (AMSI) is proud to announce the launch of its Summer Academy on Maritime Security and a Workshop on Strengthening Capacity for Sustainable Ocean Governance in Africa’s Least Developed Countries. These programs are designed to equip participants with essential knowledge, skills, and strategies to address the challenges of maritime security, international law, and sustainable ocean governance.
Summer Academy on Maritime Security
The Summer Academy will provide an in-depth exploration of the complexities of maritime law, security frameworks, and governance structures. Participants will engage in expert-led sessions covering topics such as international maritime law, dispute resolution, and strategies for ensuring safe and secure maritime operations.
Workshop on Strengthening Capacity for Sustainable Ocean Governance
This workshop aims to address capacity gaps in the effective administration of marine resources. It will equip participants with practical tools for marine resource management, maritime spatial planning, and fisheries governance, with a strong emphasis on regional cooperation and sustainability.
